Hi, Iām Ke (Mark) Ma
I am a PhD candidate in Astrophysics at the University of Nottingham, working with Prof. James S. Bolton. My research focuses on testing cosmological models using the intergalactic medium (IGM) and the Lyman-alpha forest.
My primary research interests include:
- The Lyman-alpha forest and its cosmological applications
- Physics and dynamics of the intergalactic medium (IGM)
- The epoch of reionization and high-redshift galaxies
With experience in both numerical simulations and observational astronomy, I am particularly interested in bridging theoretical and observational approaches to advance our understanding of the universe.
Keywords: Cosmology, IGM, Lyman-alpha Forest, Reionization, High-Redshift Galaxies, Hydrodynamical Simulations, Spectroscopic Observations.
I am currently developing a pipline for generating QSO spectra mocks to make forecasts for future spectroscopic surveys.
